I am a Canadian Gal watching with great interest in your Presidential campaigns. I have been totally impressed with Barack Obama and totally unimpressed with McCain.

I wonder if all of you from the States have thought about the fact that McCain already knows he has lost this election and that he can slip out the back door with everyone in the nation blaming it on Sarah?

That thought has come to me recently that McCain consciously or subconsciously choose a running mate that will sink the ship knowing its going down anyways. Sarah is going to take 100% of the blame for this loss.

The upside is that Barack gets in. The downside is that all the work by Hillary will be diminished. In Canada we had a female Prime Minister who stepped into the role for a brief period and she did a dismal job. This will not be forgotten by men or women of our country for decades to come.

Just thought I would put that thought out there.

Sarah Palin may be the McCain 'fall girl' for his eventual excuse for losing Nov 4, but for now while she is campaigning, Palin's choice as Veep is an insult to womens' intelligence everywhere who really wanted a worldly Hillary and not a novice local. McCain was thinking of votes when he picked Palin, not what was best for America. If his RNC slogan is supposed to be 'Country First' then McCain just blew it out of the water, not the ballpark!

I agree. Although it may not necessarily be "my" business, my first reaction was a combination of laughter and "you ....." referring to McCain.

My first thought was that he actually thinks that the women who supported Hillary did so because she was a woman. He can't help himself, 3 quarters of his years were spent in years where women were "kept in their place" or struggling and never really achieving.

Not every woman in North America wants to do jobs that men do but every woman should have the choice to do a job she is capable of doing. Hillary is capable of Presidency. Sarah has not proven the same.

Can someone answer something for me? Does your Vice continue out the term of 4 years of office as President should something happen to the President? or is an election called as soon as possible?
